<p>The invention refers to a process of obtaining a filter material and a filter element for the saline air purification, used in devices and installations for the air purification in the ambient space, with therapeutic effects, for health purposes and prevention in respiratory diseases. The process comprises more stages, such as: the non-woven textile fabric used as support is chosen. It has a thickness of 5 - 50 mm and a weight over 200 g/ square meter, usually it is made of synthetic fibers such as polyester, polypropylene, commercially classified in grades G1, G2, G3, G4, on which salt deposits shall be made successively by its successive impregnation, in 2 - 3 stages, either by immersion or spraying, with over-saturated solutions obtained out of rock salt coming directly from natural sources, rock salt which can contain up to 98% sodium chloride and traces of other salts. After each impregnation, the fabric is slowly dried when the excess solution is drained, in a place with a temperature between 20-35°C and a humidity of 50-70% for approx. 2 - 3 days. The excess solution can be removed by draining or can be forced out by blowing an air jet. Optionally, after impregnation there can be a powdering of the impregnated fabric surface with salt powders in order to increase the salt covering degree. In another stage, the impregnated fabric is cut and fixed in filter frames or casings with perforated sides, forming the filter elements, in which the re-circulated air is saline purified. Optionally filter element could be layered, in which the saline impregnated non-woven material is to one of the faces and to the other there is the layer of saline grains connected by microcrystalline deposits.. The evaluation of the filter element is done in the last stage.</p> |
