The patch antenna (1) has a dielectric substrate (3) having a top (3a), a bottom and side walls (3c). An electrically conductive emitter surface (11) is formed on top of substrate. An emitter structure (18) is provided at side surface and is provided with several side emitter surface portions (19) which are electrically-galvanically connected at radiating surface. A feeder structure (15) is provided in region of recess (13) of emitter surface. The feeder structure is provided with a phase shifter arrangement for producing phase shift at two connecting points on radiating surface.
