PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor which can accurately perform an air tightness testing of a seal part provided at an outermost part, even with a multiple seal structure.SOLUTION: An electric motor comprises a yoke 2; a brush holder 17 arranged at an end of an opening 2a of the yoke 2, with a brush for feeding electric power to an armature 3 held therein; and a bracket 18 provided so as to cover the opening 2a of the yoke 2 from outside of the brush holder 17. A holder body packing material 33 is provided between the opening 2a of the yoke 2 and the brush holder 17, a bracket packing material 70 is provided between the bracket 18 and the brush holder 17, and a holder body O ring 34 is provided between the opening 2a of the yoke 2 and the bracket 18. In the bracket 18, a brush holder housing part 61 in which the brush holder 17 can be housed is formed while a ventilation path is formed in a position avoiding the brush holder housing part 61, and a ventilation groove 48 is formed in the brush holder 17. |
