PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface enhanced Raman scattering unit capable of enhancing the intensity of surface enhanced Raman scattering by a suitable nanogap.SOLUTION: An SERS (surface enhanced Raman scattering) unit 1 comprises: a substrate 4; a support part 8 formed on a surface 4a of the substrate 4; a molded layer 5 including a fine structural part 7 formed on the support part 8; and a conductor layer 6 deposited on the fine structural part 7 and constituting an optical functional part 10 to induce surface enhanced Raman scattering. The fine structural part 7 includes a plurality of pillars 71 disposed to stand on the support part 8. The support part 8 is provided with a plurality of counter parts 11a opposing to side surfaces 71b of the pillars 71; and the counter part 11a is positioned at the substrate 4 side with respect to a top end 71a of the pillar 71 in a direction where the pillar 71 protrudes. |
