PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anode for a battery capable of inhibiting temperature rise due to a reaction heat which is generated by consumption of an electrode active material.SOLUTION: An anode for a battery of this invention includes: a plate-like collector; and an electrode active material part which is provided on the collector and is made of a metal. The collector includes passages therein.
