PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for optically scanning and measuring an environment capable of further reducing required installation space.SOLUTION: The device for optically scanning and measuring an environment which is configured as a laser scanner (10) includes: a base (14) located within a stationary frame of reference of the laser scanner (10); a measurement head (12) rotatable around a vertical axis (Z) relative to the base (14); a motor (50) which is supported within the measurement head (12) and has a motor shaft (50a); and a planetary gear which is driven by the motor (50) with the use of the motor shaft (50a) and makes the measurement head (12) rotate relative to the base (14), the motor shaft (50a) being aligned with the vertical axis (Z). |
