PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve printing quality when printing is performed to a printing medium.SOLUTION: The printing device includes: a medium registration section for storing length and width of a printing medium for each type of the printing medium; a paper width detection section for detecting width of the printing medium; a medium identification section for identifying the type of the printing medium by comparing the width of the printing medium detected in the paper width detection section with the width stored in the medium registration section; a printing head for printing to the printing medium; and a printing control section for controlling drive of the printing head and correcting a drive condition of the printing head. The printing control section corrects the drive condition of the printing head on the basis of information extracted based on the type of the printing medium from the medium registration section if the type of the printing medium identified by the medium identification section is a passbook type. |
