<p>A closure (10) for a hot-fill container neck (50) is provided and comprises a top plate (20) and a sidewall (15). The sidewall (15) is attachable to the outer face of the neck. The closure comprises a sealing portion (30) at least part of which extends juxtaposed the inner face of the neck and the sealing portion is urgeable towards the inner face by the top plate.</p>
