PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with a front-surface luminance improved even in the absence of a prism sheet in a backlight assembly.SOLUTION: A display device includes a backlight assembly that generates light, and a display panel that displays video by receiving the light. The backlight assembly includes a light source that emits the light and a light guide plate. The light guide plate takes in the light from the light source as incident light through an incident surface, and emits the incident light as emission light through an emission surface. The light guide plate includes a first optical pattern and a second optical pattern. The first optical pattern is positioned in accordance with a first region of the emission surface, and the first optical pattern condenses the incident light. The second optical pattern is positioned in accordance with a second region that is defined as a region of the emission surface other than the first region, and the second optical pattern condenses the emission light. |
