PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of selectively extracting and collecting indium from an acid solution containing indium and gallium at low cost.SOLUTION: A method for separating valuable metal includes extracting indium from an acid solution by applying the acid solution containing indium and gallium to a solvent extraction by an extracting agent containing an amide derivative represented by the general formula, where Rand Rrepresent each a same or different alkyl group, Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or any group other than amino group bonded to α carbon as amino acid. The general formula preferably contains a glycine unit, a histidine unit, a lysin unit, an asparaginic acid unit or a normal-methyl glycine unit. |
