PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pole change motor device having two three-phase coils driven by a three-phase inverter.SOLUTION: A rotor has permanent magnet poles and reluctance poles. The number of the permanent magnet poles is twice the number of the reluctance poles. Alternatively, the number of the reluctance poles is twice the number of the permanent magnet poles. When a rotating magnetic field of a stator has a first number of stator magnetic poles, the permanent magnet poles generate a permanent magnet torque. When the rotating magnetic field of the stator has a second number of the stator magnetic poles, the reluctance poles generate a reluctance torque. The number of the stator magnetic poles is changed by controlling a phase of a second three-phase current supplied to a second three-phase coil. A first three-phase coil and the second three-phase coil are wound around teeth of the stator by a double concentric winding method. |
