PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a pressure between an image holding body and a developing unit to be a pressure to prevent a variation in density of an image.SOLUTION: A setting unit 92, when a first mode is selected, sets a nip pressure between an image holding body and a developing unit to a first pressure and a second pressure, respectively, and when a second mode is selected, sets the nip pressure to a third pressure. An acquisition unit 93, when the first mode is selected, acquires densities of images developed respectively when the setting unit 92 sets the nip pressure to the first pressure and when to the second pressure. An adjustment unit 95, before a ratio of a difference between densities acquired by the acquisition unit 93 to a difference between the first pressure and the second pressure falls within a determined range, changes at least one of the first pressure and the second pressure and causes the setting unit 92 to set the nip pressure to the respective pressures, and after the ratio falls within the determined range, determines the third pressure according to the first pressure or the second pressure and causes the setting unit 92 to set the nip pressure to the third pressure. |
