摘要 <p>The present invention provides a silver nanocluster probe which comprises a binding region for silver nanoparticles and a specific base sequence region for specifically binding to a target polynucleotide, and which emits detectable light when a silver nanocluster is formed by the binding of silver nanoparticles to the binding region for silver nanoparticles but reduces or extinguishes the light emission when the target polynucleotide is bound to the specific base sequence region. The present invention makes it possible to rapidly and straightforwardly detect the presence of, or variation in, a target polynucleotide in a sample, by checking for reduction or extinguishing of light emission when the target polynucleotide is bound to the specific base sequence region of the silver nanocluster probe from which the detectable light is emitted.</p>
