A solar power converter (200) includes an inverter input (201, 203) to receive a DC power input and an output (208, 210) to provide an AC power output. The converter (200) includes a first (204) and a second (206) power branch, and a controller (112). The first power branch (204) includes a plurality of first switches (Ql, Q5) and a first current sensor (R28) configured to generate a first current signal (Ineg). The second power branch (206) includes a plurality of second switches (Q2, Q6) and a second current sensor (R29) configured to generate a second current signal (Ipos). The controller (112) is configured to control switching of the first and second plurality of switches to provide the AC power output based at least in part on the first and second current signals. |
