PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient frame disposal, and to prevent an unnecessary increase of queue length and excessive frame disposal in a ring structure where a plurality of edge routers in an access section are connected.SOLUTION: A communication device: stores a plurality of disposal thresholds; selects the disposal threshold used in accordance with header information of a frame when the frame marked with one of N types of different colors is inputted to an output queue; determines disposal of the frame in response to the color of the frame and the selected disposal threshold; disposes the frame when disposal is determined; and periodically transmits all the disposal thresholds corresponding to a plurality of queues for accumulating output frames to the other communication device. |
