The purpose of the present invention is to provide a receptacle and an optical transmission module enabling miniaturization of a lens or total reflective surface. A plug (40) provided on one end of an optical fiber (60) is connected to this receptacle (20). This receptacle (20) is provided with an optical element (50, 100), and a positioning member (200) which optically couples the core of the optical fiber (60) and the optical element. In the positioning member (200), on the optical path which connects the optical fiber (60) and the optical element (50, 100), a total reflection surface (R1, R2) is provided in order to totally reflect light coming towards the optical element (50) or light emitted from the optical element (100). |
