In a method for the conditioning of interior air in vehicles, in particular ships, in which method the interior air (11) is cooled or heated and the interior air is conditioned in an open sorption process with an absorber medium (S1, S2) and a membrane, the solution concentration of the absorber medium is controlled in order to control the air humidity of the interior air, and the temperature of the absorber medium is controlled in order to control the temperature of the interior air. A novel method is controlled in this way, by means of which method the solution concentration and the temperature of the absorber medium can be controlled simultaneously but independently of one another.
