PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bolt receiver of a locking device so configured that a latch bolt or a dead bolt can easily recede into the locking device even when an overload is applied to a door via a frame body due to an earthquake.SOLUTION: A strike 9 of a receiver 8 has a guide surface 11 and a hole part 12. A latch bolt 3 has an inclined plane 6 formed on one side face and a vertical engaging surface 7 formed on the other side face. A vertical wall surface 13 with which the vertical engaging surface 7 engages is formed in the hole part, and the vertical wall surface is slightly inclined upward with respect to verticality. A dead bolt 4 has a depth dimension which is smaller that of the latch bolt 3. An interval between the side face of the dead bolt 4 and a hole part edge of the strike is larger than that between a tip of the latch bolt and a rear edge of the guide surface.
