PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the execution of processing on a glossy part on a document at low cost.SOLUTION: A processing part 32 reads an image when a light source is set to an irradiation position where light irradiated onto an image reading surface does not cause halation so that no halation may occur from the image reading surface, reads the image when the light source is set to an irradiation position where the light irradiated onto the image reading surface causes halation so as to cause halation from the image reading surface, and detects a glossy part of a document on the basis of both images when the halation occurs and when no halation occurs by a gloss detection part. A controller part 201 acquires an image of the document from the processing part 32 and transmits the image to a destination indicated by the glossy part in the read document, detected by the gloss detection part, the image being read by arranging the light source at the irradiation position where no halation occurs. |
