PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a copolymer, by which a copolymer of a conjugated diene compound and a non-conjugated olefin can be synthesized when an aliphatic hydrocarbon is used as a solvent.SOLUTION: The method for producing a copolymer by copolymerization of a conjugated diene compound and a non-conjugated olefin is provided. The method uses an aliphatic hydrocarbon as a solvent and the non-conjugated olefin is charged into a reaction system before charging the conjugated diene compound into the reaction system.
