PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damper etc., capable of sufficiently absorbing vibration energy that a structure receives.SOLUTION: There is provided a vibration damper 1 etc., including: a first viscoelastic body 4 and a second viscoelastic body 5 which are arranged apart from each other and fixed to a first connection member 2; a third viscoelastic body 6 and a fourth viscoelastic body 7 which are arranged apart from each other and fixed to a second connection member 3; a third connection member 8 which connects the second viscoelastic body and the third viscoelastic body to each other while the second viscoelastic body and the third viscoelastic body are apart from each other; a first coupling member 11 which has a connection part 11a connected to the first viscoelastic body at one end and a coupling part 11c coupled to a structure at the other end; and a second coupling member 12 which has a connection part 12b connected to the fourth viscoelastic body at one end and a coupling part 12c coupled to the structure at the other end, the first to fourth viscoelastic bodies elastically deforming by shearing in directions in which the first and second coupling members contact and leave each other when both the coupling members contact and leave each other. |
