PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharge head which can obtain excellent discharge performance for a long period of time at a low cost by suppressing vaporization of a water from a common liquid chamber, and to provide an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An air storage part 21 is arranged so as to face a nozzle substrate 3 while sandwiching backing plates 6 and 7 and an actuator plate 4, and includes a fine tube 91 which penetrates at least the backing plates 6 and 7 from the air storage part to the nozzle substrate direction as a ventilation passage for making the air storage part communicate with the outside, and a first communication passage 61 and a second communication passage 41 as open port communication passages for making the fine tube communicate with an outside air open port which is formed on a head outer wall face except a discharge face for discharging droplets from a nozzle. |
