PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive composition excellent in permeability into a dielectric layer, and to provide a solid electrolytic capacitor low in leakage current by using the conductive composition.SOLUTION: A conductive composition (A) contains a substituted polythiophene (P) and a phosphoric acid and/or a phosphoric acid ester (Q). In the substituted polythiophene (P), at least part of a thiophene repeating unit is a thiophene repeating unit (α) in which the 3-position and/or the 4-position of a thiophene ring is substituted with at least one group selected from the group consisting of: a polyether group (a) represented by general formula (1); an alkoxy group (b); an alkoxyalkyl group (c); and an alkyl group or an alkyl group (d) obtained by substituting a hydrogen atom of the alkyl group with the polyether group (a).
