The invention describes and illustrates a magnetic-inductive flowmeter, having a plurality of functional units (5) and having a housing (6) common to all the functional units (5), wherein each functional unit (5) has a measuring tube (1) for an electrically conductive medium to flow through, a magnetic field generating device (2) having at least one field coil (6) for generating a magnetic field at least also extending at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the measuring tube (1), and two measuring electrodes (3, 4), and wherein the virtual connecting line of the two measuring electrodes (3, 4) extends at least substantially at right angles to the direction of the magnetic field penetrating the measuring tube (1) at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the measuring tube (1). In the exemplary embodiment illustrated, in the housing (6) there are implemented a common medium feed connection (7) for the measuring tubes (1) of all the functional units (5), a common power supply (8) for the magnetic field generating device (2) of all the functional units (5), and a common evaluation unit (9) for the measuring electrodes (3, 4) of all the functional units (5). Otherwise, the magnetic field generating device (2) has a field coil (10) and, in each case the field coil (10) is adjoined on both sides by a magnetic field guide part (17) extending at right angles to the coil axis (16). |
