Provided is a liquid crystal display device (10), comprising a display panel (100), a backlight module (200), a flexible printed circuit board (300) and a chip (350). The backlight module (200) comprises a backplane (210); the backplane (210) is provided with a protuberance (212) when facing towards the display panel (100); and a bottom surface (214) of the backplane (210) is provided with a concave portion (216) corresponding to the protuberance (212). The flexible printed circuit board (300) is electrically connected to a side edge of the display panel (100), and is bent to the bottom surface (214) of the backplane (210). The chip (350) is fixedly arranged on the flexible printed circuit board (300), and is located in the concave portion (216) of the backplane (210), making the chip (350) being far away from a light source (250) located on one side of a light guiding plate (230), which thereby solves the problem of overheating of the chip (350) in the narrow-border liquid crystal display device (10).
