PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser device arranged so that an Mparameter of a laser light to be emitted can be made smaller readily.SOLUTION: A laser device has: a solid laser crystal; a heat sink; a wavelength-conversion element 15; a mirror element 17; a couple of light sources for excitation; a first control mechanism 40; and a second control mechanism. The control mechanisms are used for fine control of a laser light for excitation in beam shape and diameter on B-plane of the solid laser crystal, where the laser light has a generally circular form at first and second light spots with the aid of the control mechanisms. If the control is made so that the first and second light spots are different from each other in diameter, the laser device can emit a laser light with a smaller Mparameter.
