PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the increase of the number of necessary slots (communication periods), and to prevent the reduction of the communication chance of each communication equipment when performing road-to-road communication as well as road-to-vehicle communication.SOLUTION: In a communication system in which a first slot capable of performing road-to-vehicle communication and a second slot capable of performing vehicle-to-vehicle communication are time-divided, and radio communication is performed, road side communication equipment 2 included in this system includes a control section 23 for performing control to enable road-to-road communication as well as road-to-vehicle communication in the first slot allocated to the own equipment 2. The control section 23 controls an antenna directional angle for transmission and reception in road-to-road communication to be smaller than an antenna directional angle for vehicle-to-vehicle communication.
