PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve TCP throughput in a communication employing network coding and packet aggregation.SOLUTION: A relay apparatus includes: a coupling unit that generates a coupling signal by coupling a plurality of received signals; an encoding unit that encodes, by the network coding, a first signal or a first coupling signal, in which the first signal is received from a first device and addressed to a second device and the first coupling signal is generated by coupling the first signals, and a second signal or a second coupling signal, in which the second signal is received from the second device and addressed to the first device and the second coupling signal is generated by coupling the second signals, thereby generating an encoded signal; a communication unit that transmits the encoded signal generated by the encoding unit to the first device and the second device; and a transmission probability control unit that controls transmission probability in a communication performed by the communication unit according to an amount of a TCP traffic in the communication unit. |
