PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a system and a device for usage or distribution of license-centric content.SOLUTION: A license repository device comprises: an existing DRM (digital right management) system comprising an interface unique to a repository of self data to regulate usage of content; a shared license repository configured so as to access data to be used for regulating the usage of the content and for communicating with the interface unique to the existing DRM system; and a user interface configured to interact with the existing DRM system and to permit a user to transmit a license related to the content from the shared license repository to the existing DRM system or to other shared license repository.
