PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission unit for a game machine, capable of suppressing that light from a light emission source becomes useless even when thinning a light guide plate.SOLUTION: A light emission unit 30 for a game machine 1 includes: a light guide plate 50 having a light reception face (a left side face 50a) on which light is incident and an emission face (a front side face 50b) which is a face nearly perpendicular to the light reception face, and from the incident light is emitted; a flat plate part 41 abutting on a face opposite to the emission face of the light guide plate 50 and supporting the light guide plate 50; and a light emission source 60 disposed oppositely to the light reception face of the light guide plate 50 and an end part of the flat plate part 41, and irradiating light on the light reception face and the end part. The end part of the flat plate part 41 is provided with a taper part 94 reflecting the light irradiated on the end part from the light emission source 60 to the light guide plate 50 side. |
