PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent staying of an ink around a discharge port.SOLUTION: An inkjet recording head includes a planer discharge port surface having a discharge port row in which a plurality of discharge ports discharging an ink are arranged. The discharge port surface has a groove 7 located at a lateral of the discharge port row with respect to a longitudinal direction of the discharge port row, and a wall surface of the groove 7 forms a flat surface which bends by an angle α (0°<α<90°) with respect to the discharge port surface S at least at a boundary part 25 between the discharge port surface S of the discharge port row side and itself. When a static contact angle of the ink on the discharge port surface S is denoted by &thetas;, and a minimum contact angle of the ink at a boundary part 125 between a virtual groove 107 in which the angle α is 90° and the discharge port surface S, at which defect due to staying of the ink occurs, is denoted by &thetas;, the angle α satisfies a condition: &thetas;-&thetas;>α. |
