PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor which has a connector part and is made from a high polymer material and in which thermal degradation of a base part disposed at a rear end part of a gas sensor element is suppressed.SOLUTION: A gas sensor 200 comprises: a gas sensor element 10 extending in an axial direction; a main metal fitting 50 holding the gas sensor element; a base part made from a high polymer material and including a cylindrical main body part 101 which is disposed at a rear end side of the main metal fitting so as to be separated therefrom and to which a rear end part of the gas sensor element is inserted and a connector part 103 extending from the main body part in a direction crossing the axial direction; and a metallic external cylinder 110 which is a cylindrical member for connecting the main metal fitting and the base part and whose tip side is bonded to the main metal fitting. The gas sensor further comprises a metallic cover 140 which covers the main body part from the outside in a radial direction and which is bonded to the external cylinder. |
