PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and efficiently improve, by elevating the temperature of a hydrous hydrogen source together with that of an additive within an apparatus, the post-reaction hydrogen concentration and pressure.SOLUTION: An aqueous methanol solution 16 is used as a hydrogen source; oxygen derived from the aqueous methanol solution 16 is captured; aluminum particles 18 serving as a trigger for a methanol-derived carbon solid-phase transformation are concomitantly furnished; the volume ratio of water with respect to the alcohol and the operation temperature are adjusted respectively within ranges of 0.25-1.0 and 200-450°C. As a result, opportunities of generations of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, steam, etc. due to reactions become scarce. For this reason, the ratio of the post-reaction vapor phase occupied by gases other than hydrogen can be lowered, and the hydrogen concentration and hydrogen pressure can be elevated. |
