THE USE OF PDGF-BB IN A METHOD OF ENHANCING THE EFFICIENCY OF REPROGRAMMING OF A SOMATIC CELL TO A PLURIPOTENT STEM CELL

The present invention provides a method for enhancing the efficiency of reprogramming of a somatic cell to a pluripotent stem cell; the method comprises transfecting the somatic cell with one or more nuclear reprogramming factors and contacting the somatic cell with platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF BB). Further, a cell culture medium comprising PDGF-BB and a kit for reprogramming of a somatic cell to a pluripotent stem cell is also provided.
