PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gypsum composition, gypsum-based solidification material and gypsum-based construction material capable of suppressing the generation of hydrogen sulfide by selectively inhibiting the growth of sulfate-reducing bacterium, without inhibiting the growth of other bacteria.SOLUTION: Such a gypsum composition comprises plaster of Paris (A) and chelated Al (B), wherein it is characterized that the chelated Al (B) is contained by 0.01 to 20 weight parts range for 100 weight parts of the plaster of Paris (A).
