PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conditioner and a control method of the same, which can start stably even if the number of series of solar cell panels are different and even if the solar cell panels have different characteristics.SOLUTION: A power conditioner 10 comprises: a power conversion unit 13 converting DC power supplied from a solar cell panel 1 into AC power and interconnecting with a commercial power system; a storage unit 22 storing a start voltage value serving as reference for starting the power conversion unit 13; and a control unit 21 comparing a DC input voltage value from the solar cell panel 1 and the start voltage value stored in the storage unit 22 to determine whether the power conversion unit 13 is started. The control unit 21 performs MPPT control by using information on the DC input voltage value and a DC input current value from the solar cell panel 1 when starting the power conversion unit 13, and calculates a new start voltage value on the basis of DC input voltage value from the solar cell panel 1 in MPPT control. |
