PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for separating an obstructive substance from a blood vessel and excreting it.SOLUTION: A device for separating a blood clot in a blood vessel comprises: a catheter body that has a proximal long member and a long member for treatment; at least one port along the proximal long member in the catheter body; at least one injection opening along the long member for treatment in the catheter body; at least one suction opening along the long member for treatment in the catheter body; a first lumen within the catheter body that communicates with the injection opening via fluid and communicates with the suction opening via fluid; a valve member along the long member for treatment in the catheter body that forms the valve structured so as to selectively open and close the fluid communication between the port and the suction opening; and an agitator that translates in a longitudinal axis direction in the first lumen.
