Disclosed are a method and system for auto-negotiation of MPLS network connectivity check time. The method includes: in an MPLS network, a first node transmitting to a second node a negotiation request message containing a transmission cycle and receiving cycle thereof; after receiving the negotiation request message, the second node transmitting to the first node a negotiation response message containing a transmission cycle and receiving cycle thereof; according to the transmission cycle and receiving cycle of the second node, and the transmission cycle and receiving cycle of the first node in the negotiation request message, the second node determining a new transmission cycle and check cycle thereof configured for an MPLS network connectivity check; and according to the transmission cycle and receiving cycle of the first node, and the transmission cycle and receiving cycle of the second node in the negotiation response message, the first node determining a new transmission cycle and check cycle thereof configured for the MPLS network connectivity check. The present invention realizes the objectives of check time auto-negotiation and bidirectional check. |
