<p>A system (6) is provided for acknowledging to a first network that a message has been transmitted to a second network through a unidirectional communication channel (14). The system has an input (12) for receiving the message from the first network, an output (16) for transmitting the message to the second network, first (18) and second (20) processing means and a means for comparing (28). The processing means process the messages received from and transmitted to the respective networks and the means for comparing determines if the two processed messages are the same. The output receives the message from the input via the unidirectional communication channel such that data flow from the output to the input is prevented. The input sends an acknowledgement to the first network based on whether the comparing means determines the processed messages to be the same.</p> |
