A control unit (4) is provided that repeats an inverter control in units of inverter control periods (T2) having a predetermined length. In the control unit (4), a phase current detection period (T1) for detecting a phase current is provided between predetermined inverter control periods (T2), and the switching states of respective switching elements (Sup, …, Swn) in an inverter circuit (3) are controlled so that a voltage pulse having a larger width than the width of a voltage pulse in the inverter control periods (T2) is output from a shunt resistor (R) in the phase current detection period (T1). |
