PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plunger pump which absorbs water in the highest suction head even when a valve is in a dry condition.SOLUTION: A plunger pump 1 includes a cylinder 15 communicating with a water absorption port 5 including a unidirectional water absorption valve 19 and a water drain port 9 including a unidirectional water drain valve 20, and a plunger 16 accommodated in at least a part of the cylinder 15 with reciprocation allowed. The plunger pump 1 includes a priming water supply port 11 for supplying priming water into the cylinder 15 when starting up the plunger pump 1. |
