PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain sensor that is excellent in linearity or reproducibility of sensitivity.SOLUTION: The strain sensor according to the invention includes: a layer structure part that includes at least a base material layer having flexibility and a carbon nanotube (CNT) layer laminated on a surface side of the base material layer and including a plurality of carbon nanotubes (CNT) having orientation in one direction; and a pair of electrodes that is connected to the CNT layer, the layer structure part has a different rigidity area between the pair of electrodes. It is preferable that the different rigidity area is arranged almost orthogonal to a facing direction of the pair of electrodes. Preferably, the different rigidity area is arranged in a direction in almost parallel with or crossing an orientation direction of the CNT fiber. Further, the different rigidity area is preferably formed into a linear or belt shape. Preferably, the different rigidity area has a convex part or a concave part formed on a surface of at least one layer of the layer structure part, a rear surface thereof or a side surface thereof. |
