[Also in Divisions B1, B2 and G1] An automatic liquid feeding device for suckling animals comprises a foodstuff container 1, a motor driven conveyer wheel 12, with vanes 15, housed in a food container 8, which conveys feeding stuff via an aperture 16 to a mixing vessel 19 suspended on a balance arm 29 and a switching device 39 operated by a spring 36 attached to the balance arm to actuate the driving motor 11 of the conveyer wheel 12, a stirring mechanism 40 for the mixing vessel 19 and a magnetic valve for the water supply (not shown) into the mixing vessel 19. The collecting container 8 is arranged to provide foodstuff under constant pressure by means of the annular space 17 between the container 1 and the collecting container 8. An actuating pin 37 on the balance beam 29 co-operates with a fork 60 attached to a tube (59) containing movable spherical weights and rotatably mounted on an extension 42 of the balance holder 33, so that two limiting stable positions are imposed on the balance beam, Fig. 5 (not shown), the latter being adjusted so that the switch 39 can only be actuated when the mixing vessel 19 is completely filled or emptied. One or more outlet openings 20 and 21 in the mixing vessel 19 convey mixed foodstuff via hoses 22 and 23 to teats 24 and 25. |
