Door construction with composite fibre reinforcement

The door leaf has a horizontal carrier (1) formed as a hollow profile, and including a polygonal cross-section and a reinforcement profile (2) that is connected with and extends along the carrier at an inner side. The reinforcement profile is made of a fiber reinforced material i.e. carbon composite, or the carrier is made of the fiber reinforced material in sections. The carrier has elastic modulus of 700000 megapascals in a horizontal longitudinal direction. The material has fibers in unidirectional alignment along the carrier.
