A portable display stand 70 comprises a sheet 69 of laminate material which in a first configuration lies flat (fig 1) and in a second configuration is erected; the portable display stand includes hinge regions 71, 72, 73 formed by regions where at least one layer of the laminate material is discontinuous (73, fig 11); the laminate is preferably a polymeric or plastic material sandwiched between two metal layers and the discontinuities may be provided in one or both of the metal layers. A portable display stand 70 including a plurality of cuts defining a plurality of sections including a base section and a foot section is also disclosed; as is a method of constructing and a method of manufacturing a portable display stand 70. The portable display stand 70 may be used to hold for example a mobile phone, PDA, tablet computer or electronic book. |
