The device (1) has two support elements which are connected such that the forces predominant by the former support element are received in a main direction (6). The former support element is formed from a fiber composite material which has fibers oriented substantially in the main direction. The support elements are formed as separated components. The device has two support profiles (10,20), where the former support profile has profile elements (12). An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a device for cantilevered fastening a passenger seat to a wall of car body of a vehicle.
