<p>An organic electroluminescent element (1) comprising an anode (10), a cathode (20), and a light-emitting layer (50) which is intercalated between the electrodes (10, 20), comprises, for example, a carbazole derivative represented by formula (4) or the like and rubrene or the like, and has a liquid form at ambient temperature, wherein the light-emitting layer (50) contains an ionic material such as a tetraalkyl ammonium salt. It is possible to provide an organic EL element which has a liquid light-emitting layer and has improved EL properties including driving voltage, luminance, current density and external luminous efficiency.</p> |
