Provided are a metal foam heating body for a catalytic converter and a method for manufacturing same. The present invention comprises: first and second metal foam blocks that are porous, which have specific sizes and shapes and are arranged with a specific gap therebetween, for generating resistance heat when electricity is applied; a connection terminal, which couples to one end portion of the first and second metal foam blocks, for electrically connecting the first metal foam block and the second metal foam block; and a positive pole terminal and a negative pole terminal, which couple to the other end portion of the first and second metal foam blocks, respectively, for connecting to a power source. |
