PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a shell mold used for the production of a mold material for a shell mold having excellent collapsibility of a mold, particularly, for a main mold and a core (hereinafter referred to as a mold) used for a shell mold casting process for a non-ferrous casting such as an aluminum alloy, and exhibiting satisfactory collapsibility of a mold even at a part in which a sufficient amount of heat is not fed from a molten metal to the mold, i.e., even at a low temperature region, and to provide resin-coated sand. SOLUTION: The resin composition for a shell mold includes a phenol resin and polyoxyalkylene phosphate ester.
