A stirrup hanger assembly 16 comprising a base 52 having a stirrup carrier arrangement 54 attached thereto. The stirrup carrier arrangement comprises stirrup holding member 58 and securing strap 68. The securing strap is folded over itself to form first 64 and second 66 securing members meeting at an apex on the base to secure the stirrup holding member thereto. Stop members 56 are provided to prevent movement of the stirrup holding member. A pair of stirrup carrier arrangements can be formed on the base. A saddle incorporating the arrangement is also claimed.
